Schroth harness from the 80s. Spare my dad had from back in the day on his car.

the angle of the shoulder harness looks pretty unsafe to me.
having it so low can cause spinal compression in a crash. Schroth recommend
at most 20 degrees from level.

Is this even safe, racing gear like that has expiration dates.

It’s only meant to hold me in the seat at autocross. Our autocross surface is completely flat and very open, so there’s no worries of a rollover. I’m not wearing these on the street.

It’s only meant to hold me in at autocross, nothing more. I don’t wear them on the street and our autocross surface is very open and flat.

Whats stopping the shoulder straps from sliding around and giving you friction burns?
I mean, it an excuse to get a half cage and proper racing seat right?

Not when you have rare interior panels like mine, and want to still have a street car with back seats, and no racing seats math my interior.
I deal with the friction burns.
